Bommanews Plus - Functions

It is now possible to repair partially posted files. eg. Posted files with one missing part can be completed instead of reposted. Rigth click on file and choose repair post to post the missing parts on the server.
Double click on file will download it, requested by, ScSi.
It is now possible to upload files using the yEnc encoding. You just need to select the encoding to use in the upload files window.
I've totally rewritten the upload resume. Downloaders should no longer be able to tell if there was a server crash the previous night.
The statistics window has been revised. It has become really useful this time, be sure to take a look.

There is now some mini wizard to construct the B-news URL for progressive downloading.
All version starting from build 67 now save debuginformation in a seperate file when an error occurs.
Starting with this version -b63-, B-News stores its data in another location. You can now choose whether a location common to all users will be used, or a different location per user.
It is now possible to make b-news start up maximised. Set the parameter in the bnews.ini file.
Only one new feature this time, however it's a big one.
It is now possible to download yEnc postings. This is done exactly the same way as with B-news postings. See the documentation page for a brief manual

Due to some bug in the original B-news we had to follow. It was something about authenticating when downloading files.
One small feature, it is now possible to retrieve the headers of a message.
Added cancel message and view headers to the popup menu.

Added CRC support. B-news GU now automatically calculates the CRC of each part and the CRC of the total file. It sends this info along with the file. When downloading a file with CRC information the CRC of the received file is checked and the user is notified when its value is not correct. The user can choose to check the CRC-info of each individual part. (see configurations->varia) When a received part is corrupt B-news GU will try to get it again once more.
It is now possible to use an yEnc filter so you can view yEnc post in B-news. No further support for yEnc can be expected. (whoops i lied :-p)
The debugger is improved and supports now more levels of debuginformation, if you want to know what B-news is doing.

It is now possible to cancel your own incomplete files. However those should not occur anymore because of the next feature.
Partially uploaded files are now automatically resumed from the last complete part. This should save your precious upload.

Partially downloaded files are now resumed automatically. When some sort of error occurs during download or the server stopped sending data. B-news GU will automatically resume the file from the latest complete part. Also when your computer should crash, all you need to do is to turn B-news GU back on and it will continue your download from the latest complete part. This feature will reduce the number of bytes lost when a time-out occurs from 14,99 MB ( worst case) to 649 KB(worst case).
Fixed the timeout mechanism so B-news GU will now always know when the news server has crashed again.
Some statistics information is now available.
